| Catholics throughout the world are encouraged to honor the cloistered and monastic life.
Pope John Paul II established a special day for them, called “Pro Orantibus Day”. The day takes place on the Memorial of Our Lady’s Presentation in the Temple. (In 2017 the date was November 21.) The Holy Father wants us to thank those serving as “a leaven of renewal and of the presence of the spirit of Christ in the world.” Listed here are the cloistered women religious of the Diocese of Cleveland. Our Nuns’ Appreciation Committee is missioned to honor these sisters on Pro Orantibus Day. All of us are called to ongoing prayer for them. |
