Judge Weaver
Judge William W. Weaver
Always smiling, Judge Weaver was a family man who treated everyone as his dearest friend. He brought his Catholic dedication to Serra.
He started his life of service as a captain in the U.S. Army. He then entered a law practice for many years. From there he moved onto city council. Next he was a law director and a prosecutor. From 1991 onward he was judge of the juvenile court where his wisdom helped many families get through hard times. He brought his talents to St. John Vianney, serving the parish from its founding days.
His daughter, Becky, is also a dedicated Serran and former president of the club.

Tom Lipps
Thomas A. Lipps
Tom was Mr. Music Man for Lake-Geauga Serra Club. He led all the singing merriment at our annual Christmas celebration.He graduated from Perry High School and then the University of Notre Dame.His music career began as a teacher at Muskegon Catholic High in Michigan and Lenox Academy in Lenox, Massachusetts.He was a past president of Lake-Geauga Serra Club and former member of SPEBSQSA in which he sang tenor in Barbershop Quartets.Somewhere along the line he became a teller of outlandish jokes, many of which he saved just for the Serra meetings.His wife, Marietta, is also a dedicated Serran.

2014Scott Zinn R Scott Zinn
Scott became a member of the Lake Geauga Serra Club in 2010. He had also been member of Knights of Columbus in Painesville.
He attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Fairport Harbor.
Many knew him as an accomplished athlete and member of the senior little league All-star Team in 1970.
We knew him as the apple of his mom’s eye.

Dee Martin
A dedicated Catholic. A loving wife. A fostering mother.We knew her as a dedicated member of our club and other Catholic groups.She was the most sympathetic, caring friend you could have.

Mary Ann McCann
Wife of Jim McCann, mother of seven, active Catholic.Her deep faith and solid strength carried her through more challenges than most could bear.Her heart was as warm as her smile was joyous. Humor was always at her fingertips; she grasped it and passed it on with vivaciousness.God loved her and so did we.

Jean Pepp
Jean Pepp

Jean’s life story can fill a book. She was was always active, enthusiastic, and helpful.

And funny. Jean performed the original “Sister Act”, dressing the part and entertaining all, especially religious sisters.

Not content to be the spouse of a member of Serra, she joined the club personally. It was always a pleasure to have her at a club meeting.

Vince Morreale
Vincent G. Morreale, C.P.A.

Vince was a longtime member of Lake-Geauga Serra Club. He had been president. Most recently, he served as Treasurer of the club.

He is warmly remembered as a very caring person. He was a 25-year volunteer for the St. Mary Church Jail Ministry.

Vince was an avid golfer, always trying to improve his score. He was devoted to the game with the same enthusiasm he devoted to his life of service.

Sallie Shea
Sallie Shea, R.N.

Sallie Shea was a member of St. Mary church in Painesville for every day of her life. She was so steadfast. So reliable.

Sallie was one of the treasures of the Serra Club. She was faithful in attendance. She was reliable in contributing a helping hand. Best of all, she always had a kind smile and comforting words.

When you saw her you thought of green plaid and wee ones skipping along behind a piper.

She’s one of the reasons God made a heaven.

Jim McCann
Jim McCann, DDS

Jim led a life of abundance. He started as an “altar boy” at Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby, and attended daily Mass for most of his life. He graduated from dental school at Marquette in Milwaukee, and began his first practice serving the U. S. Navy.

He married Mary Ann and they raised seven children on the floor above his dental practice located in the heart of Mentor, and dear to the hearts of Mentor people.

In 1982 he was president of the Lake-Geauga Serra Club, and served many years on the Board of Trustees.

He loved to ride his bike in the neighborhood, drive his motorcoach to Florida, and commute to his place at Chautauqua.

He had an endless supply of stories about his life experiences, retelling them with the zest he brought to all his life.

John Leonbruno
John Leonbruno

John was a past President of Lake-Geauga Serra Club. With his wife Marilyn he raised 6 children and 17 grandchildren.

He served in five major campaigns during World War II. He was an insurance agent, a teacher, coach, umpire, referee and a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 947.

An active Catholic, John was also a Secular Franciscan.

Bill FudaleFrom the halls of St. Clairsville High School to the shores of Tripoli Bill was a man of action and service.

He lived a dozen lifetimes–U S Army and Marine Corps, CPA, lawyer, judge, active Catholic servant and leader.

Patricia Bringardner (Spouse of our founding president )

She had enough compassion and energy to raise a large family and serve a multitude of worthwhile community organizations.

Known for her elfish smile and warm wit.

Our Vice President for Programs, he was a delegate to the Serra International Convention.

His interests included horticulture, salesmanship, service, family, and great conversations.

Ray lived life to the fullest.

Joe Tulley
Joseph P. Tulley (Charter member in 1976)Everyone who heard him proclaim the Word was inspired.

A major part of his legacy is his family dedicated to serving their neighbors in Christ.
